ADOPTION COSTS
The adoption costs are made up of 2 parts;
An adoption fee to cover the cost of the vet preparations and then a second
payment which covers the travel costs (full details of what is covered in these
costs are given below)

ADOPTION FEES:
Below are details of what is covered by the adoption fee
Dogs over 6 months
Snap 4Dx which tests for exposure to pathogens that cause Heartworm disease,
Ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease and Anaplasmosis; Leishmania snap test.
We will also do a government blood test on dogs that we believe may have
been in locations where they could be suspectible to leishmania
The dog will also have vaccines as well as rabies vaccine, microchip,
deworming pills, neutering, tick flea treatment, fit-to-fly examination
and an EU-pet passport.
*Puppies up to 6 months
3 puppy vaccinations, kennel cough, rabies vaccine, microchip, deworming pills,
tick flea treatment, blood tests, fit to fly examination and an EU pet passport
*for dogs aged under 6 months, there will be a requirement to have the dog
neutered by your own vet when they reach the age recommended by your vet
as outlinedin the adoption agreement. We will also require confirmation that the
dog has been neutered.
TRAVEL COSTS:
The travel costs include travel to the UK, use of crate and crate return, TRACES
which are required to enable the dog to travel and flight and pet courier as relevant.
In most cases we send our pets on a rescue flight via Cologne, however we will
look at direct flights if appropriate and where the adopter can collect the dog.
ADOPTING A DOG IN FOSTER IN THE UK
The subsidised cost will be between £300 - £400
ADOPTING A GOLDEN OLDIE
If you adopt one of our golden oldies, the adoption costs are heavily subsided by
Merlin’s Haven as our aim is to ensure that these dogs enjoy their final years
in comfort
ADOPTING A DOG IN CYPRUS
ADOPTION FEES:

Leishmania will also be undertaken when appropriate.

3 puppy vaccinations, kennel cough, microchip, registration of microchip,
deworming pills, tick flea treatment and and Health Book
*for dogs aged under 6 months, there will be a requirement to have the dog
neutered by your own vet when they reach the age recommended by your vet
as outlined in the adoption agreement. We will also require confirmation that the
dog has been neutered.
